Dental crown?

I have one. Its almost like getting a filling except they basically drill your whole tooth out. They make an impression of your teeth so they know to make the right size crown for your mouth. Good luck

Dental crown?
What exactly is the question? If you need one the procedure is pretty simple and can be done in about an hour, usually. The dentist will grind down the tooth to a small square and than take an impression to send to the lab that will be making your crown. The dentist will than make you temporary crown until the one from the lab is complete. It usually takes about 2 weeks if the lab is local. You will need to go in for another visit to have the crown inserted. The procedure is the same whether it is an anterior or posterior tooth, but some dentists choose to get lab made temps for the anterior teeth.
