My friend has 10 upper dental crowns and the rest of the teeth are natural. He does not like the dental crowns. They look too straight and white. So it looks fake....
My friend saw some natural teeth's shape that he likes. Can he bring the pictures of the natural teeth that he used to have to the dentist. And the dentist prepares the dental crowns following to the shape and shade of the natural teeth of somebody else?
Is that possible for people to have dental crowns that look exactly like their natural teeth? Not too thick and big...
Can we design dental crowns for our dentist?
Sure. The dentist and technician ought to love it if they have a model (picture) to go by, so long as your friend's teeth happen to be in the right location to support the shape of teeth that he wants. If the dentist says it can't be done, it's time to look for someone with a more open mind.
Then again, this can be a red flag indicating exceedingly high expectations and the dentist might say it can't be done just so he will move on to another office. But, yes, it can be done.
Reply:Your friend is either rich or has the best dental plan I've ever heard of. Ask your friend to adopt me.
Reply:It is possible to have crowns made in particular shapes and shades. However, it really depends on how committed your dentist is to acheiving your goals, and how willing he is to send the work to a high-quality,specialty lab that will work to get the best result. Sadly, most dentists send their lab cases to high volume, low-quality labs in their area that will do the work for the least cost to the dentist. If your friend wants to avoid that "fake" look, they should try to find a Prosthodontist in the area. A Prosthodontist is a specialist that has 3-4 more years of dental education. They usually do work on patients that require complete dental restoration. In your friends case, 10 new upper crowns would qualify as a possible "complete" restoration. Although it is not possible to replicate the look of "natural" teeth with crowns, a Prosthodontist would be the expert your friend should consult to have the BEST chance of looking the absolute best.
Reply:Sure you can get what you want, if your dentist don't want to do that, find another.
