I recently had temporary crowns (one that was the last tooth on the upper left) anf from that day I have been having neck pain on the left side of my neck. Its bearbale but definately a problem. Is there a connection between my crown and the pain or is it simply stress or a muscle pull?
Neck Pain after Dental Crown?
we usually ignore the basic thing,it happened the same with me,i was going thru the same left side neck pain but in my case the pain was piercing, some suggested i have THYROID and i was very upset went to my GP and he advised me to do have some tests, then i found out its actually the deficiency of calcium,i was resting and was amazed too as have been taking GNC calcium tablets since long but still my Hydroxy Vit D test was below average,so i recommend u the same.
Reply:How long has it been since you had the temp crowns put in? If it was only a day or two ago, I would say that it is from a muscle pull/strain of your head being put into a position you are not used to.
Spending time with your mouth wide open and head at weird angles is not something your muscles are used to. It is not uncommon to have a sore neck after spending time in the dentists chair
Reply:Nine out of ten times the pain in your neck is because you sat in an awkward,STILL,STRESSED Position for an extended period of time during the dental work---this probably either cut off circulation to a nerve or muscle group--this resulted in damage that will take a bit of time to heal, some warm moist Heat on your neck can increase your circulation in the area,Promoting the healing Process Naturally,Non-Invasively. Worst case ---You Tore a muscle or nerve and it will take even longer to heal---If You Have PINCHED a Nerve, that could get Complicated---anti-Inflamatory Pain Killers Work Well To Ease This,PERSISTANT PAIN and agrivation---See Your Doctor---Signed---JEM
