Ipecac! I took it in hopes to bring up a dental crown and post I accidently swalloed but...?

It's given me dry heaves for 45 min. now and thats it. I could care less about the crown at this point. When will the lethargic feeling and nausea pass if I can't vomit. Never again I tell you. NEVER AGAIN!!

Ipecac! I took it in hopes to bring up a dental crown and post I accidently swalloed but...?
You were trying to get it out in the wrong direction.

I had a patient who swallowed a 3 tooth bridge that came unglued. I just advised her to get some rubber gloves and start looking the next day. Sure enough, she found it, washed it off and brought it in. I sterilized it in an alcohol flame and recemented it and all was well.

It may sound a little gross but with the cleaning and flaming there would be nothing left to bother you.

On a side note, did you hear about the Tilley hat that belonged to a zoo keeper? The elephant ate his hat twice and he recovered it, washed it off and it is still going strong. (both the had and the elephant!)
Reply:Well wait long enough and it will come out the other end!
Reply:Ipecac has got to be #1 on the list of horrid things to do to your body! You now know that...you should start to feel better any time..if you fell sleepy..go to sleep..the stuff won't hurt you, it just makes you throw up. The reason you didn't throw up..you probably had no food or anything in your stomach. The first guy is right...at some point probably in the next 24 hours...it will 'show up' ...how gross is that!!!! Bet you don't do any of this stuff ever again... good luck...♥
