Thanks for your feedback.

Dental Crown....What are the advantages and disadvantages of having a dental crown.?
it restores the shape and size of a tooth. it contributes to efficient chewing because it is made to meet the opposing teeth correctly. when the crown or its outer part is tooth coloured it restores the appearance of the tooth. in the case of a heavily filled or weakend tooth, particularly a back tooth, it holds everything together and so prevents any weakend pieces chipping off or cracking.

a crown acts as a strong band around a tooth keeping everythinkg together. a crown may be used for a front tooth when it has been badly broken or heavily filled or if it has had root canal and has changed color. a crown may be used in the back again if the tooth has been heavily filled or a piece of the fulling or the remaining tooth has broken off.

Um disadvantages, hmm cant really think of any except the cost. which is usually about $1100.00 australian dollars....
Reply:email your dentist.
Reply:It depends on why your getting one.
Reply:well the advantage is that its better than having no teeth. the disadvantage is that its always better to have your own teeth rather than any substitute.
