1400$ for a root canal, crown, and build-up. is that a goodprice?

I recently applied for, got a Aetna Dental savings card and was quoted 1400$ for rootcanal, crown, and the pre-build up. Is this pricey? Can i get a good deal elsewhere? I live in the DC/MD area.

Reply:That depends on whether it was an anterior or posterior tooth. The costs vary.
Reply:yes that is a very good price. root canals alone cost about $900 and then $600 for the crown ( with the prep) they dont build it up .. they shave down the tooth.
